By 2030, the European Commission intends to halve chemical pesticide use and its consequent risks. Among pesticides, nematicides are chemical agents used to control parasitic roundworms in agriculture. In recent decades, researchers have been looking for more sustainable alternatives with the same effectiveness but a limited impact on the environment and ecosystems. Essential oils (EOs) are similar bioactive compounds and potential substitutes. Different studies on the use of EOs as nematicides are available in the Scopus database in the scientific literature. El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar el estado de la investigación cualitativa en las ciencias de la actividad física y del deporte en España, a partir del análisis de 1057 artículos publicados entre 2007 y 2011 en revistas españolas del campo indexadas en Scopus. Los resultados indican que sólo el 3.5% de los trabajos recurre a la metodología cualitativa y que en su mayor parte utilizan la entrevista como técnica de recogida de datos. Latvijas Universitātes publikāciju pārstāvniecību globālajā pētniecības jomā prezentē žurnāli, kas tiek indeksēti pasaules vadošajās citējumu datu bāzēs Scopus un Web of Science. Rakstā ir analizēti no Scopus un Web of Science datubāzēm dati par publikāciju skaita dinamiku, veidiem, pētniecības nozaru aptvērumu, pētnieku sadarbību un citējamību. Dati atspoguļo vairākas tendences. Latvijas Universitātes publikāciju skaits pētījuma periodā ir svārstīgs, bet nedaudz pieaugošs. Rakstu skaits turpina pieaugt. The survey concerns the bibliometric analysis of the scientific productivity of the 8 Scientific Areas in which the Academic Italian System of Psychology is subdivided (Settori Scientifico-Disciplinari, SSD). To this end, data were retrieved from the Scopus (available at March 2012), one of the most internationally representative scientific databases.
